A migrant was filmed using a human ladder to sneak into the United States from Mexico.
Footage uploaded to social media shows a man standing on another’s shoulders so a third can climb on top of him and hop over the international border fence.
The incident was filmed at the border in Mexicali, in the north-western Mexican state of Baja California as Donald Trump continues to promise a wall to stop people illegally entering the US.
In the footage, the three men rush to do the deed quickly before they are caught.
They jump out of a car, one of them carrying a rope, before standing on each other’s shoulders.
Once up, the man holding the rope uses it to lower himself down, the other end held by his companion.
When he reaches the ground he turned and quickly flees into US territory.
The two men supporting him also immediately escaped back into Mexico.
It is unknown if any of the men have been captured since the recording of the footage.
People were quick to support the men on social media.
Grissel Amn wrote: “I was in a big square once and an immigrant was running around scared with two policemen behind him until they caught him, almost crying.
“He did not look a bad person. It’s a good that he managed to jump and hopefully he can make it through.”
Griselda Padilla added: “I hope you can reunite with your family and lead a good life.”
Last month US Customs and Border Protection began building eight different types of walls at the border near San Diego and Tijuana for the president.
The 30ft long designs range from 18ft to 30ft high.
Immigration advocacy groups argue Trump’s wall would not stem illegal border crossings.
Government estimates say the cost of the wall will be about $21 billion and Trump has said that Mexico will eventually pay for it – although Mexico has refused to pay.
