Chelsea Clinton opted for classic black to take the stage at Glamour magazine’s Women of the Year Live Summit, and when it came to choosing heels to match her outfit, she turned to her favorite pair of damaged nude pumps.
The 37-year-old, who was named Glamour Woman of the Year in 2014, donned a simple, yet elegant A-line dress featuring scallop detailing on the bodice and hem for the event that was held at the Brooklyn Museum on Monday.
Chelsea accessorized her look with a delicate gold necklace and her favorite patent leather pumps, which looked incredibly torn up after numerous wears over the last few months.
The rather shredded heels appear to be the Vice Chair of the Clinton Foundation’s go-to shoe, as she has been photographed wearing them to numerous events over the past year.
Each shoe has several tears on the heel, which were all the more visible later on in the day when Chelsea wore them for another appearance, this time while visiting the set of Extra in Manhattan.
The second event was much closer to home for Chelsea who lives on Madison Avenue, where she and her husband, investment banker Marc Mezvinsky, are raising their children Charlotte, three, and Aidan, one, in a luxury four-bedroom apartment that they purchased for $10.5 million back in 2013.
However, she is far more frugal when it comes to fashion.
Chelsea has been wearing her beloved nude heels for over a year, and she stood in those very shoes when she brought her father, Bill, to tears as she praised her mother, Hillary, at the 2016 Democratic National Convention where she accepted the party’s nomination for president.
She wore them a few months later on November 9, a day after her mother lost the election to President Donald Trump, as she returned home following her mother’s concession speech.
