‘It’s really wonderful’: Gwyneth Paltrow thanks her peers for their ‘support’ as she’s applauded at first public appearance since Harvey Weinstein revelations.
Gwyneth Paltrow made her first public appearance on Friday since revealing she was a victim of movie mogul Harvey Weinstein’s alleged sexual harassment.
The actress was applauded as she took to the stage in front of some 500 entertainment industry professionals for the Power Of Women event in Los Angeles, hosted by Variety.
Obviously touched, she thanked the star-studded crowd for their support.
‘It’s really wonderful to be in a room with so many women who are making a difference and supporting the causes that mean the most to them,’ she said.
‘As everybody has said it’s especially timely right now. I feel very honored to be amongst you all and very honored, after what feels like many decades in this industry, to have felt the support and the coming together of everybody this week.’
Gwyneth was at the event to present an honor to her friend Michelle Pfeiffer.
For her part Michelle applauded her friend and Weinstein’s other accusers for the courage it took to speak out.
