She put an obscene anti-Trump message on her truck

A Texas woman took aim at the sheriff who called for her arrest over a profanely anti-Trump message on her truck.

Karen Fonseca actually was arrested on an outstanding warrant last week after Sheriff Troy Nehls called for disorderly conduct charges over the “f*ck Trump” decals on the pickup she and her husband drive.

She added a profane message against Nehls, whom she previously worked with at the Fort Bend County jail, after her arrest related to a 2015 investigation into alleged fraudulent possession or use of identifying information.

“F*ck Trump and f*ck you for voting for him,” the decals read. “F*ck Troy Nehls and f*ck you for voting for him.”

The ACLU of Texas offered to assist Fonseca after the sheriff posted a photo of the truck on Facebook and claimed the prosecutor had approved charges — which the district attorney disputes.

“The change came about today,” Fonseca told KVII-TV. “We had been thinking about it and deciding that Troy Nehls didn’t think twice when he put the Facebook post up and exposed me and my family. We’re getting more positive than negative. I feel it was gone about the wrong way and the sticker is appropriate.”

Fonseca was released from jail Thursday after she was arrested in front of her 6-year-old daughter at her family’s Stafford home.

“I think it’s the sticker,” said husband Mike Fonesca.

Her attorney questioned the sheriff’s Facebook post, which has since been deleted.

“I think it’s ludicrous the sheriff needed to go to Facebook to locate her,” said attorney Brian Middleton. “He has professional detectives under his employment who could have easily found Ms. Fonseca.”

The sheriff, a Republican who is not seeking re-election, slapped at Fonseca after learning about her new message.

“It doesn’t surprise me,” Nehls said. “Her behavior is disgusting.”
