Comedians Rosie O’Donnell and Roy Behar appeared Thursday night on “Watch What Happens Live.” During their interview, the conversation quickly turned to President Donald Trump, with an emphasis on why Rosie O’Donnell dislikes the current president.
Both women are famously outspoken in their criticism of the president. Indeed, Rosie O’Donnell has been particularly outspoken about her dislike of President Trump and has been in an ongoing feud with the current president that stems back over a decade. In the past, Rosie co-hosted “The View” with Behar and would frequently get into feuds with the famous businessman.
Since Rosie’s days on “The View,” both she and Donald Trump have unleashed a series of harsh and personal insults towards each other.
“…I told the truth about him at a time when everybody else was afraid,” O’Donnell said.
“I told the truth about him ten years ago,” O’Donnell summed up, “at a time when anyone could’ve found out those truths about him. But the media decided not to print while he was running.”
“When he got to be president it was very trippy,” O’Donnell maintained. “It took me about six months to regain my equilibrium. I feel like I fell through the ice and I just was waiting to resurface.”
“It’s a badge of honor to be disliked and hated by this man,” Behar added.
According to The Hill, Rosie O’Donnell has expressed that she is worried about whether she will physically survive until the end of a Trump presidency. Apparently, Rosie is worried that President Trump will cause every single person in the world to die in a nuclear war.
“It’s a terrifying concept, on the brink of nuclear war with a madman in charge. And the ineptitude — the impotence of people who should be able to stop him claiming they can’t — is absolutely infuriating,” said O’Donnell.
Trump, 71, once called the 55-year-old comedian a “pig” during the 2016 presidential campaign, adding that she “deserved” that particular verbal attack. O’Donnell has led anti-Trump protests outside of the White House and has smeared Trump as being “mentally unstable” and guilty of “treason.”
